++ The Light of Altenberg
What is the Light of Altenberg? That is really hard to put in one phrase. It is:
- A Light of Peace that is ignited every year since 1950 on the 1st of May in Altenberg, Germany
- A youth event with a special programm and room for spirituality, creativity and conviviality with up to thousands of young people
- A vigil in the night and a service in the morning in the cathedral of Altenberg, concentrating on the years motto
- A night of camping around the church with campfires, songs and music
- A sign of reconciliation and peace that is carried out into other cities and communities in Germany and into the world
- An event to come together with old and new friends to celebrate peace and faith
